Airprox definition

An Airprox is a situation in which, in the opinion of a pilot or air traffic services personnel, the distance between aircraft as well as their relative positions and speed have been such that the safety of the aircraft involved may have been compromised.

Reporting an Airprox

Details of the procedures are given in UK AIP ENR 1.14 and UK AIP (MIL) ENR 1.14.

Airprox report forms

The best way to submit an Airprox report is to use our online forms, linked to in the menu. There is also a UKAB App available from the Apple App Store which you can use.

Civilian ATCOs should obtain the report form from their Unit.

Military ATCOs and pilots should submit an Airprox DASOR iaw MAA RA 1410.
